The Tipis

item3aFor 2011 the tipi site will consist of three 18ft tipis ideal for any any purpose, a tipi holiday in wales, stag and hen nights, birthday parties and weddings to mention just a few. The tipis have new log circles, fire-pits and interior rugs etc.. .

How Big are the Tipis (Teepees) Inside? The tipis are slightly egg shaped and the inside distance from the door to the back is approximately 5.5 metres (18ft), and we recommend tha they sleep 8 adults each.

The tipis are of original Native American Sioux design with the Cheyenne smoke flap extensions or "ears" to vent the charcoal fires that are supplied with each tipi.

Each tipi is also fitted with an internal rain catcher when required.

What do you get?

For your stay in the tipis and included in our prices: we supply you with a tipi with an inner liner which offers warmth and an air flow. Most tipis with a slightly suspended wooden floor which is and is covered with choir matting and then clean rugs for you to lounge on.

Outside there is also a log circle for you to sit around the fire. We also supply a trailer load of logs fot the fire. More logs can be arranged at a cost.

What do you need to Bring

The tipis are not fitted with beds or other furniture in order to create a more spacious environment for your stay. The floor of the tipis is dry and covered with clean rugs.

DSC0224For groups staying for a couple of nights we suggest you bring the equipment that you would if you were camping.

For families and smaller bookings we can arrange camp beds if requested well in advance.

A toilet, shower and wash basin are available for your use.

More about the tipis.

Our authentic Sioux style tipis are made from 120z waterproof cotton canvas on a frame of locally sourced Larch and Fir poles.

The tipis offer a generous living area for you to enjoy. Tipis are filled with natural light during the day and the glow of the fire by night. On summers days you can roll back the door and admire the views from inside.
