All agreements are made between Tipi Wales and the event organiser.
To secure your booking a non refundable deposit of 50%, of the total cost, is required by cheque or bank transfer.
We do not allow loud music, generators or amplifiers. We do allow reasonable use of music. Please contact us if you are unsure about what this means.
Confirmation of booking will be sent out after deposit has cleared, by email unless specified by customer.
All balance of payments are due 6 weeks before stay. If balance has not been received 6 weeks before booked date the booking slot will be released and the customer will lose deposit and have no entitlement to a refund.
Cancellations made within 30 days of date due to come are not entitled to any refund of monies, vouchers or alternate dates - they will lose their slot. Customers with exceptional circumstances will be considered. In this case any decision made by Tipi Wales will be final and not set precedent. Bookings made at short notice must be paid in full. We will endeavour to do our best to make your stay enjoyable whilst taking no responsibility for the weather and all customers coming to stay must come prepared for rain and sunshine bringing suitable clothing and footwear!
We will be welcoming and go out of our way to ensure you feel safe and comfortable at the site. A information pack will be e-mailed to you detailing local attractions etc. We have on site toilets and a shower, this is located over the quiet lane adjacent the site, parental supervision will be required to take children to the facility.(not all locations have this facility, please ask prior to booking. One site will require your own 4 x4 to get to the tipi. We will accept no responsibility to any damage that may be caused to vehicle) If in doubt please ask.
We ask our customers to arrive between 12 noon and 5 p.m. If you are caught in traffic please endeavour to let us know. Customers who arrive much later must be prepared not to be greeted at the site and we will leave full instructions for them. The site must be vacated by 11a.m. on the morning of departure to allow for the next intrepid tipi dwellers. If you require longer stays we may be able to accommodate but only if arrangements are made prior to your stay and no other bookings are to follow on.
All rubbish must be taken away unless agreed prior to your stay, we will supply 2 bin bags for rubbish you may wish to bring your own depending on your activities. Our site is clean and tidy and would respect you to leave it in the condition you found it. Leave nothing but footprints take nothing but memories.
The event organiser undertakes to keep the tipi, all tipi furniture and all equipment used in the tipi in the same state of repair and condition as found at the beginning of their hire period. (Reasonable wear & tear accepted). Any equipment missing or damaged (or any third parties equipment) must be reported and paid for up to the value of replacement if it cannot be restored to its former condition.
Upon arriving at your Tipi, we advise that you personally check that no item(s) are missing or damaged to avoid any problems should we find items missing or damaged at your Tipi after your stay. We ask that you report any missing or damaged items to us straight away so it can be replaced immediately. Failure to do so may result in you being charged for said items.
The owners are under no liability for any act, neglect or default from any loss, damage, expense or accident, injury or inconvenience to persons or property which customers may suffer or sustain from the hire of any tipi(s) (equipment in or around the tipis)
The owner’s responsibility and financial liability shall be limited to the return of monies received in the event of either the tipi booked in good faith not being available or curtailed due to storm, river levels or other causes beyond their control. If tipi hire is not possible (due to our Tipis being out of commission) we will endeavour to rearrange your Tipi Hire or give you a full refund.
Customers booking by telephone will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
Should you wish to cancel your booking at any point you must inform us by phone and put in writing your proposal of cancelation. We will confirm your cancelation in writing within 48 hours. If you have not heard from us within that timescale please contact us immediately to reconfirm your cancelation as we may not have received your correspondence. Failure to cancel in writing will result in you being responsible for full payment of your holiday.
If you wish to bring a awning for outside cooking/shelter in the event of inclement weather please do so but please advise us, so the positioning of tipis can be adjusted if needs be.
Cars/ vehicles must be left at the designated area. All gates must be closed if found closed.
Sorry, but we can't allow dogs on the site!
